Hurt So Good! Stuart Weitzman Academy Awards Shoes

Every woman wants to look like a “million bucks” when she walks the Academy Awards red carpet. This year, Juno screenwriter, Diablo Cody, will not have to try that hard. She has been chosen by shoe mogul, Stuart Weitzman, to wear his latest million dollar shoe, “Retro Rose” on the red carpet.

You might look at this shoe and say, “Oh, what a nice rose!” Ummmmm…..it’s definitely a lot more than that. The “Retro Rose” shoe features two Kwiat diamond roses, fixed to 1940s-style beige metallic T-strap high heels. More than 1,800 Kwiat diamonds weighing 100 carats were used to make the roses and 400 of them have been incorporated into the design of the shoe, which is worth over $1 million.

OMG a million dollars!!! Every celebrity wants this honor but he only chooses one each year. I would love to be chosen but I would be so paranoid all night. Afraid that someone would slash me at the ankles and run off with the shoes and my feet. What could you say if you accidently scratched them or lost a diamond?

Most of us enjoying the Academy Awards from our home will not know who has the shoes on because we have no idea what Diablo Cody looks like. I’ll give you a hint….She’s the one who will have 25 musclebound suits escorting her along the red carpet.
